🎉🎉AHH WE’VE ALMOST BEEN OPEN A MONTH!!!!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉
I AM SO EXCITED THAT WE’RE ALL HERE AND POSTING AND MAKING CHARACTERS AND WRITING TOGETHER OMGOSH I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
Okay, now that that’s over! Here’s a bunch of announcements!!
1. I’ve worked up a very rough timeline for the term because even Mod Poppy and I kept getting confused as to what month we were in. This is obviously very rough and as with all things in the roleplaying world, time is pretty flexible especially with us entering the midst of the holiday season.
October 21st - November 4th = September (We've made it past that! YAY US!!)
November 4th - November 18th = October
November 18th - December 2nd = November
December 2nd - December 16th = December
December 16th - December 30th = January
December 30th - January 13th = February
January 13th - January 27th = March
January 27th - February 10th = April
February 10th - February 24th = May
February 24th - March 10th = June
Hogwarts term ends sometime during the third week of June, so End Of Term Feast and all that goodness will happen sometime in early March!
With that being said I WOULD LOOOOOVE some opinions on things like doing a Yule Ball or something like that! I personally as a human being and roleplayer love balls, however Yule Balls are canonically a triwizard tournament type thing. HOWEVER, this is semi-AU and we ARE set only a couple years after a major war within the wizarding world that traumatized Hogwarts students, so bringing light to students is very important to my baby Minerva. Great big dances bring light right????
2. If you have a character with a special ability please make sure you’ve read the descriptions here! A lot of things have been left up to interpretation for the sake of creativity but there are certain things that should remain universal. And if you have any questions whatsoever about how something should work, don’t hesitate to send me a message! I promise I don't bite, even if some of my characters do.
3. We have a few new things since the last announcement! A points claim(here!), lists for clubs (here!), prefects (here!), werewolf packs (here!), and more! We’ve also added a few new places to post in in the wizarding world! As usual if you have suggestions of things we should add to make this site even better just drop me a message or even comment here if you're feeling frisky!
4. We will be doing classes! I will post a mini announcement to announce when we’ve gotten everything hammered down and to announce when our first class will be! In the meantime if you would like to have a professor character and teach a class??? GO FORTH AND CREATE A PROFESSOR!!
5. The FAQ has been updated! For those who don’t feel like rereading the whole thing, here’s a summary of what’s changed:
There is currently no limit on special ability characters! That means you don’t need two “normal” characters to have "special" character! So if you’ve had a werewolf or a vampire or even something like an animagus or a seer in mind but couldn’t make them due to the limit now’s your chance!
I’ve also clarified how posting works in regards to open threads. All threads are by default open, but you are 110% free to create closed threads!
ALRIGHT! That’s it. I think. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for dealing with me as we get through the first month of a site and all the bumps that that might come with
Ya’ll don’t even know how many warm squishy Hufflepuffesque feelings I get when I see someone’s submitted a new character or when I read through the threads that are happening.
